About the Role

Join a small, high-impact team working on MongoDB's most important strategic and financial priorities. You will collaborate directly with senior leaders and C-suite executives on critical business decisions, shaping how MongoDB scales. The role involves strategic planning, business case development for new products, and managing partnerships with major cloud providers.

Responsibilities

  • Own high-priority strategic and operational initiatives that shape MongoDB’s growth, efficiency, and long-term scale.
  • Develop executive-facing business cases and recommendations for key product and infrastructure decisions, including scenario analysis and trade-off evaluation.
  • Manage relationships and contract negotiations with hyperscalers (AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure).
  • Partner with Finance, Product, and other cross-functional teams to evaluate business performance, surface key drivers, and translate ambiguous questions into structured analyses.
  • Build and refine gross margin analyses and forecasting frameworks across MongoDB’s core and emerging businesses.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience in business strategy and operations, preferably at least 2 years as a management consultant or at a data-driven product/technology company.
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills and the ability to structure ambiguous business questions into clear analyses and actionable recommendations.
  • Strong executive communication skills, with the ability to distill complex findings into concise, compelling narratives.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills (or Google Suite equivalent).
  • BA/BS in a quantitative or business-related field.

Skills

  • Experience with using SQL to retrieve and manipulate data is a plus.
