About the Role
As a Senior Test Engineer, you will join one of our fast-paced, agile delivery teams. Working on one of our in-flight projects, you will play a key role to ensure continuous automated testing is implemented, early and often, as a part of a CI/CD lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automated test solutions using Java, Selenium WebDriver and a range of open-source testing tools and frameworks.
- Design, build, and execute automated UI and API test frameworks to support quality assurance across complex digital delivery programmes.
- Perform testing within AWS cloud environments, validating cloud-based applications, services, and integrations.
- Work within Agile and DevOps teams, applying TDD, BDD, ATDD, and continuous testing practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring efficient, reliable, and repeatable software delivery.
- Deliver automation using other technologies such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, WebdriverIO, Cucumber, Serenity BDD, Robot Framework, and Rest Assured.
- Execute functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing, supported by manual and exploratory testing where appropriate.
- Collaborate with Developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and wider delivery teams to define test scenarios, acceptance criteria, and quality outcomes.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, automation frameworks, tooling, and testing standards across projects.
Requirements
- Proven experience in test automation engineering, with strong hands-on expertise in Java and Selenium WebDriver.
- Experience designing, developing and maintaining scalable UI and API automation frameworks using industry-standard open-source tools.
- Commercial experience/certification with AWS cloud environments and experience testing cloud-native applications, services and integrations.
- Practical experience working within Agile and DevOps delivery teams, applying TDD, BDD, ATDD and continuous testing principles.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, including functional, integration, regression, end-to-end, exploratory and API testing.
- Experience working in Agile & ideally with Gherkin, Cucumber
- Extensive working experience with Jira, Confluence.
- Must be a British passport holder only.
- Must have lived permanently in the UK for the last 5 years.
- Able to obtain high level security clearance.
