About the Role
The Asset Protection Partner protects store assets against theft and collaborates with the Leadership team to implement operational controls that reduce shortage.
Responsibilities
- Provide friendly, professional, and knowledgeable service to clients.
- Conduct surveillance on the sales floor and using CCTV to identify, observe, and deter external theft.
- Adhere to all laws and SEPHORA policies concerning apprehensions, search and seizure, and evidence preservation.
- Prepare reports on theft incidents, merchandise recoveries, accident investigations, and audits.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with internal partners, local law enforcement, mall security, and other retailers.
- Testify in court on behalf of the company when summoned.
- Provide new hire and continuous employee training on loss prevention awareness.
- Conduct store self-audits, checklists, and safety inspections.
- Communicate audit and inspection findings to the store Leadership team and District Loss Prevention Manager.
- Assist the store Leadership team with inventory preparation and processes.
- Partner with stores and DLPM in developing and executing shrinkage prevention plans.
- Meet required minimum weekly shifts/hours: Full Time (30-40 hrs/week), Part Time (16-20 hrs/week).
Requirements
- One year of asset protection/loss prevention experience in a retail environment.
- Satisfy and maintain all licensing requirements as required by province or local jurisdiction.
- Possess strong written, verbal, interviewing, listening, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain composure and provide effective coaching on loss prevention techniques.
- Proficiency in Windows, Word, and Excel is desirable.
- A High School graduate or equivalent.
- Availability to work flexible hours and days, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Availability to work at multiple locations within a market.
- Work in a fragrance-filled environment.
- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Bend and stretch to stock shelves.
