About the Role

As a Commissioning Manager for High Voltage Substations, you will be responsible for testing and executing commissioning activities of mid- to large-scale high voltage substation projects. You will lead commissioning activities with an international team through different project stages, from preparation to on-site execution. This role is key to projects for the energy transition and requires international travel with construction site presence.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all testing and commissioning activities are planned and carried out in compliance with safety requirements, quality standards, and applicable regulations.
  • Build and develop the Commissioning Organization for projects within your scope, including preparation of Org-Charts & Mobilization Plans for Staff & Tools.
  • Liaise with design office and PM team for timely issuance of data required for preparation of commissioning site works (specs, designs, BOQ, material lists, …).
  • Prepare the Commissioning Schedule in alignment with the consortium partner for the platform manufacturing.
  • Prepare Commissioning documentation like ITPs & Checklists and setup a Completion Management System together with your Commissioning Team.
  • Contribute with your Commissioning Team to Factory Acceptance Tests to ensure that systems delivered to site with the right quality.
  • Maintain effective communication related to Commissioning scope with customers, contractors, and internal stakeholders and be the main point of contact.
  • Collaborate with the Project Team about Quality, Claim & Risk Management.

Requirements

  • Completed degree in electrical engineering, energy technology, or a comparable qualification.
  • Knowledge and minimum several years of experience in Commissioning of substations, Power Plants or complex industrial electrical systems.
  • Excellent Communication skills paired with strong Leadership skills in an international project environment.
  • Willingness to travel internationally and work on construction sites and optional assignments on offshore platforms.
