About the Role

As a HVDC Commissioning Manager, you will be responsible for testing and executing commissioning activities of large-scale international HVDC Projects. You will lead Commissioning activities with an international team of Commissioning Engineers through different projects stages, starting from Commissioning Preparation through to on-site execution. You have a key position within key projects for the energy transition and will report to the Regional Commissioning Team Leader. The position requires international travels with construction site presence during the execution phase.

Responsibilities

Ensure all testing and commissioning activities are planned and carried out in compliance with safety requirements, quality standards, and applicable regulations.
Build and develop the Commissioning Organization for projects within your scope, including preparation of Org-Charts & Mobilization Plans for Staff & Tools.
Liaise with design office and PM team for timely issuance of data required for preparation of commissioning site works (specs, designs, BOQ, material lists, …).
Prepare the Commissioning Schedule in alignment with the consortium partner for the platform manufacturing.
Prepare Commissioning documentation like ITPs & Checklists and setup a Completion Management System together with your Commissioning Team.
Contribute with your Commissioning Team to Factory Acceptance Tests to ensure that systems delivered to site with the right quality.
Maintain effective communication related to Commissioning scope with customers, contractors, and internal stakeholders and be the main point of contact.
Collaborate with the Project Team about Quality, Claim & Risk Management.

Requirements

Completed degree in electrical engineering, energy technology, or a comparable qualification.
Knowledge and several years of experience in Commissioning of substations, Power Plants or HVDC Systems.
Excellent Communication skills paired with strong Leadership skills in an international project environment.
Fluent in English.
Willingness to travel internationally and work on construction sites and optional assignments on offshore platforms.
