About the Role

Support the Central Merchandising function and Product Buyers & Merchandisers with the analysis of key business planning and performance data, and the development and/or implementation of new processes and tools. This role enables the delivery of best practice and consistent standards, ensuring all stages of the commercial and trading calendars are completed on time with analytical rigor.

Responsibilities

  • Support the planning process by completing historical performance analysis and modeling potential planning scenarios.
  • Deliver analysis for store grading, range planning, channel planning, and associated planning to meet financial targets and support the commercial strategy.
  • Support the reconciliation of metrics between financial and product plans.
  • Provide analysis to guide, support, and challenge Buying & Merchandising teams to achieve targets.
  • Model key product metrics to assess risk profiles and reconcile top-down and bottom-up planning.
  • Support the Central Merchandising function in delivering Business Calendar milestones for on-time launch.
  • Support the monthly reforecasting (WSSI) process.
  • Share/escalate forecasting process impacts with senior managers to enable reforecasting decisions for sales, stock, and marketing/markdown activity.
  • Analyze OTB positions in relation to sales performance and stock flow.
  • Support the Trading calendar delivery with analysis of promotional results and clarity on sales and stock positions for future events.
  • Model the net profitability impact of schuh activities including sales, promotions, markdowns, RTW, and returns.
  • Support the process for coding seasonal stock.
  • Own the write-off/stock clearance at end-of-life process.
  • Support B&M with analysis for store grading & clusters, and planning & trading of eComm and ROI business.
  • Own WSSI documents and central company rollup.
  • Support the Head of Central Merch with commercial business input for IT developments.
  • Collaborate with Power BI report developer & Merchandising on the development of reports and tools.
  • Support the B&M team in reviewing processes and tools to avoid extra work and cost.
  • Take responsibility for continually improving own performance.
  • Arrange regular performance reviews with manager.
  • Be proactive in driving own personal development.
  • Seek/receive feedback on development for career progression and utilize available resources.
