About the Role
You will serve as the technical lead for the patient experience, shaping how patients interact with the platform from enrollment through their entire care journey. You will build features that facilitate proactive care, triage urgent needs, and ensure patients feel supported, reporting to a Senior Staff Engineering Manager.
Responsibilities
- Lead the technical direction for mobile development strategy and patient-facing applications.
- Rapidly prototype and ship features in patient mobile and web apps using AI tools.
- Steer product direction for patient support and retention during the critical first month of care.
- Collaborate directly with patients, product, design, and clinical teams to translate needs into features.
- Mentor and grow junior engineers to raise team standards.
- Establish technical standards, architecture patterns, and development practices for patient-facing products.
Requirements
- Deep experience building and shipping consumer or patient-facing products.
- Proven experience as a technical lead setting architecture direction and mentoring engineers.
- Strong opinions on building high-quality user experiences.
- Comfortable working across the full stack in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Familiarity with trends in LLM coding agents to multiply engineering impact.
- Ability to collaborate closely with product and design teams.
