About the Role

Join Realtor.com® on a mission to empower more people to find their way home by breaking barriers to entry, making the right connections, and building confidence through expert guidance. Our technology team researches and develops scalable applications, identifies new technologies, and enhances products. We build innovative solutions to help customers in their buying, renting, and selling journeys, and provide real estate agents with best-in-class tools. This role requires proficient use of AI coding assistants and LLMs, with critical judgment to verify AI-generated outputs for security, performance, and accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in system architecture and design review
  • Develop solutions that are of high quality, scalable, and reliable
  • Work collaboratively in squads composed of Product Managers, Designers, Analysts, and Engineers
  • Investigate and prototype technologies that can be leveraged to introduce innovations
  • Be self-directed, take initiative, and drive towards solutions with guidance

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of experience in software development
  • Experience in software development and a strong willingness to learn our technology stack, including: Python (FastAPI, Pydantic, NumPy, Pandas), React, Node.js, and GraphQL
  • Experience working with relational or non-relational databases
  • Experience with AI, Machine Learning, and AWS knowledge preferred
  • Experience delivering high value to customers quickly and frequently, with regular feedback and support
  • Experience evaluating trade-offs between design approaches
  • Software engineering best practices (e.g., testing, code reviews, documentation)
  • Experience in developing scalable systems
