About the Role
SYSTRA Canada is seeking a Configuration Lead to report to the Systems Engineering Manager for a Rail Project in Ontario. This role is crucial for establishing and managing the configuration management framework for Integration & Assurance.
Responsibilities
- Establish and manage the configuration management framework for Integration & Assurance
- Define baselines for requirements, designs and key configuration items
- Administer change control boards, including recording, assessing and tracking changes
- Ensure configuration status accounting is maintained and transparent
- Coordinate with CDE, design and requirements teams to keep configuration data aligned and auditable
Requirements
- University degree in Engineering, Information Management or related discipline
- 8+ years’ experience in configuration management on complex engineering projects (preferably rail / transit)
- Relevant professional designation or training in configuration management (e.g., CMII or equivalent)
- P.Eng considered an asset
- Proven experience setting up and operating configuration control processes, baselines and change management
- Familiarity with CDEs, requirements and design tools and their interactions
- Strong documentation and coordination skills
