About the Role

As a Software Engineer on the Platform Team, you will develop and enhance the services powering Hive's smart home ecosystem. You will design and build scalable, cloud-native solutions using modern AWS technologies to support smart heating, energy management, and EV charging, contributing to a greener future.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and deliver scalable software solutions for Hive's smart home ecosystem.
• Develop new cloud-native services and platform capabilities.
• Contribute to technical designs and engineering decisions.
• Take ownership of services, focusing on reliability, performance, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with engineers, product teams, and stakeholders.
• Contribute to Agile delivery practices using GitHub and Scrumban.
• Manage tasks effectively while maintaining clean, well-documented code.
• Continuously enhance skills and help modernize Hive's technology landscape.

Requirements

• Curious and agile-minded engineer with a love for learning and problem-solving.
• Strong experience developing software with GoLang and Python.
• Solid understanding of Test-Driven Development (TDD) and automated testing.
• Experience with modern CI/CD practices.
• Experience building and operating cloud-native applications within AWS.
• Familiarity with serverless development frameworks.
• Familiarity with development tools including GitHub, Maven, and Gradle.
• Interest in Generative AI-powered development tools.
