About the Role
This role involves managing a selection of accounts, building strong customer relationships, and driving sales growth within the Ebury Sales department. You will collaborate with various internal teams to support the commercial strategy and contribute to the success of our books.
Responsibilities
- Manage own accounts, building strong relationships, securing repeat business, and communicating effectively with clients.
- Attend and lead customer meetings with support from the Sales Manager where appropriate.
- Collaborate with line manager and team to achieve sales goals and targets.
- Provide support to the Sales Manager, including creation of customer new line forms and presentations.
- Collaborate with Editorial, Marketing, Publicity, and Art counterparts to gather materials for presentations.
- Work with wider group sales colleagues, ensuring they have what they need from an Ebury perspective and sharing wider market knowledge/learnings.
- Handle requests from various teams across the division, such as reporting on specific title performance or bookseller requests.
- Perform daily administrative tasks, including market and title specific analysis, maintaining spreadsheets and databases, and updating retailer budgets and orders alongside Key Account Managers.
Requirements
- A highly motivated and enthusiastic attitude, with confidence in your abilities.
- Comfortable in a sales environment and curious about the retail landscape.
- Strong presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- The ability to quickly build relationships with colleagues and clients.
- A passion for our books and the ability to inspire enthusiasm in others.
- A can-do attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt.
- Proficiency in using multiple in-house systems and overall computer literacy.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to prioritise and respond swiftly to briefs and customer requests.
- A collaborative spirit, happy to support team members.
- Sales or buying experience in retail or publishing preferable.
