About the Role

In this field role, you will be responsible for developing new target groups, fostering sustainable relationships with patient organizations and professional associations, and planning and executing regional and national events and projects. By identifying new patient outreach opportunities, building relevant networks, and conducting targeted events, you will significantly contribute to patient engagement and the growth of Abbott Diabetes Care.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic and operational support of patient organizations and professional associations, as well as leadership of regional and national projects to promote patient engagement.
  • Identification and development of new cooperation and business opportunities through proactive outreach to potential partners and initiation of partnerships.
  • Development and implementation of formats/events to expand the reach and visibility of patient-centered initiatives.
  • Building, maintaining, and developing a robust network with patient organizations, patient representatives, and relevant healthcare stakeholders.
  • Planning and execution of events and promotional activities in close collaboration with Marketing.
  • Representing Abbott Diabetes Care at health fairs, events, and network formats.
  • Responsibility for achieving defined engagement, cooperation, and project goals.
  • Collaboration with Market Access, Marketing, and Sales to leverage patient potential in the responsible regions.
  • Responsibility for budget planning as well as the analysis and presentation of relevant market and patient information.

Requirements

  • Completed degree or comparable qualification in health, natural sciences, communication, or business.
  • Several years of professional experience in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry, ideally in field sales, project, or event management.
  • Proven experience in project management, event management, and building networks and stakeholder relationships.
  • Knowledge of the German healthcare market; experience in the diabetes field and working with patient organizations is advantageous.
  • High affinity for digital health and medical device solutions.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with a highly independent and structured way of working.
  • Proactive approach with a high degree of personal responsibility and enjoyment in B2B outreach and acquiring new business partners.
  • Fluent German language skills, good English language skills, and a high willingness to travel within Germany.
