About the Role

We are seeking talented and experienced Politics teachers for our A-Levels department. The ideal candidate will inspire hope, ignite imagination, and foster a love of learning in students, motivating and influencing their success while providing mentorship and support.

Responsibilities

  • Teach Government and Politics and related subjects to AS/A level classes.
  • Plan and execute practical work related to teaching.
  • Maintain accurate records, track students effectively, and submit statistical data promptly.
  • Contribute to subject teams by developing curriculum materials, liaising with part-time colleagues, and attending team meetings.
  • Liaise with other staff and the management team as needed.
  • Act as a personal tutor to students and attend course tutor meetings.
  • Undertake staff development, including industrial placements, as required.
  • Participate in the College Appraisal Scheme.
  • Perform other duties commensurate with the grade and scope of the post.
  • Utilize new learning technologies appropriately, with training provided.
  • Adhere to College policies on Equal Opportunities, Health and Safety, No Smoking, and Quality Management.

Requirements

  • Experience teaching Politics at AS/A level.
  • Ability to inspire, motivate, and impact learner success.
  • Willingness to mentor and support learners.
  • Proficiency in using new learning technologies.
