About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity to work as a Mechanical Project Engineer on the Hinkley Point C project. The role is site-based and will report to the Construction Manager. The candidate will be required to work in line with the Amentum construction team's working rotation, consisting of 10 days on site with a 4-day weekend, starting on a Tuesday and finishing the following Thursday. The candidate will receive overtime and weekend pay rates in line with the site ESCA agreement.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure works are installed as per the specified design.
  • Develop an engineering resolution as per the change process where installation issues arise.
  • Analyze/review survey data to ensure the as-built state is within permitted tolerance.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Translate product drawings into actionable process information.
  • Develop design ideas and plans successfully.
  • Use initiative and experience to bring issues to a prompt resolution.
  • Quickly understand new scope and provide guidance on the most efficient installation methodologies.

Requirements

  • Any offer of employment will be strictly subject to the relevant security requirements for the role being met.
  • Must have, or be able to obtain, Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance and either Security Check (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV) clearance.

  • Membership of a relevant professional body such as the ICE or an engineering institution is preferred
