About the Role
Chelsea Bridge Wharf is seeking a skilled and qualified Electrician to join its maintenance team. This role is crucial for ensuring the building's safety, compliance, and operational efficiency through high-quality electrical maintenance, testing, and installations.
Responsibilities
- Carry out scheduled and reactive electrical maintenance across buildings and facilities.
- Install, maintain, and repair wiring, lighting systems, sockets, switches, and distribution boards.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical faults efficiently and safely.
- Conduct electrical testing and inspections (e.g., EICRs) in line with statutory regulations.
- Ensure compliance with IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
- Maintain accurate records of completed work, inspections, and certificates.
- Assist with project-based installations and refurbishments.
- Work safely with tools, equipment, and PPE at all times.
- Identify and report potential hazards or electrical risks immediately.
- Deal with intercoms, AOVs, fire alarm (FA) and EL testing, and development/redesign of FA and EL systems.
- Produce accurate job reports and communicate updates via the company’s reporting system.
- Support the development of the existing electrical team.
Requirements
- Fully qualified electrician (NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or City & Guilds 2391/2394/2395).
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) qualification.
- Proven experience in electrical maintenance and installation.
- Strong fault-finding, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of materials, techniques, and tools used in electrical work.
- Full UK clean driving licence.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build strong working relationships and work effectively in a team.
- High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations and safe working practices.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
- Ability to work independently while keeping the team informed.
- Candidates must have the legal right to work in the UK.
