About the Role
To assist with the smooth running of a multi-building estate and to deal with all emergency situations. This includes providing visible security, controlling access, monitoring CCTV, patrolling the estate, and managing contractors and deliveries outside of normal working hours.
Responsibilities
- Work the hours and shifts in accordance with conditions of employment.
- Undertake regular patrols of the estate as instructed by the security lead.
- Carry out duties in accordance with instructions issued by the security lead.
- Comply fully with the Health & Safety Policy for the estate.
- Comply with individual responsibilities to ensure the requirements of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order are met.
- Ensure site Rules & Regulations are complied with at all times.
- Ensure all incidents are recorded in the Incident Log.
- Ensure contractors adhere to requirements for contractor management and site H&S.
- Ensure the estate is a safe and pleasant environment.
- Assist with public enquiries.
- Abide by all company rules, terms, and conditions.
Requirements
- Must hold a valid SIA Security Licence and SIA Public Space Surveillance Licence.
- Experience in providing security services in a busy environment.
- Ability to demonstrate good customer service at all times.
- Ability to work on own initiative and deal with demanding situations.
- Honest and reliable work ethic.
- Willingness to partake in on-site training for emergency procedures.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Willingness to adopt a flexible approach to work patterns and work weekends/evenings.
- Willingness to undertake additional training and career development.
- Well presented.
- Accurate record keeping with good attention to detail.
- Ability to use full range of Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Outlook (Desirable).
- Basic knowledge of H&S legislation (Desirable).
