About the Role
This division is responsible for the technical development, operational support, and mid-to-long-term strategy planning for Rakuten Mobile's innovative network. It encompasses development functions for RAN, core network, cloud platform, and mobile devices, as well as organizations specializing in communication quality and user experience analysis, requiring expertise across a wide range of fields.
Responsibilities
- Develop mid-to-long-term strategies for Rakuten Mobile's network based on the latest technology trends.
- Act as a future technology executive candidate, coordinating and liaising with all internal technology departments.
- Formulate Rakuten Mobile's base station deployment plan.
- Develop plans for introducing the latest technology in terminals and infrastructure.
- Monitor the latest technology trends and contribute to international standardization.
- Formulate infrastructure technology requirements based on business plans and create projects.
- Provide regular business reports and support to executive and board members (in English).
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in one of the following:
- Infrastructure development, deployment plan formulation, and requirements definition experience at a telecommunications carrier (planning, management, or capital investment/budget management experience in a telecommunications carrier planning department is also acceptable).
- Communication area design, construction plan/budget plan formulation, or communication quality improvement planning/execution experience at a telecommunications carrier.
- Mobile infrastructure equipment development or deployment experience at a telecommunications equipment vendor, with at least 1 year of direct liaison with the technology department of a telecommunications carrier.
- TOEIC score of 600 or equivalent English proficiency/skills.

Salary/Compensations
- Monthly salary: JPY300,000 ~ (Breakdown: Base salary JPY 227,848 + fixed overtime pay for 40 hours JPY 72,152)
