About the Role
This is a digital-first inside sales position focused on expanding the use of Autodesk Fusion within existing Japanese customers. The role involves driving sales of additional licenses, upgrades to higher-tier products and features, and promoting advanced solutions like PLM and data utilization to support customer evolution in design, engineering, and manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Drive expansion of Fusion usage among existing Japanese customers by proposing additional licenses, higher-tier plans, and advanced solutions like PLM and data utilization.
- Identify new workflows and teams within existing customer organizations (design, development, manufacturing, production engineering, operations) that can benefit from Fusion.
- Conduct sales activities including prospecting, needs assessment, proposal delivery, objection handling, negotiation, and closing using phone, online meetings, email, and digital sales tools.
- Develop expansion plans for the assigned territory, identifying high-priority customers, use cases, and opportunities.
- Collaborate with technical sales specialists, Fusion Data Specialists, and product specialists to effectively deliver demos, technical validations, and value propositions.
- Partner with the Land team responsible for new customer acquisition to ensure a consistent customer experience and growth strategy.
- Engage with partners as needed to support customer proposals, implementations, and usage expansion.
- Utilize sales management tools like Salesforce for pipeline management, deal progress tracking, and improving forecast accuracy.
- Share customer insights, successful patterns, and repeatable sales methods with the team to contribute to the growth of Fusion Expansion business in Japan.
Requirements
- Experience in corporate sales, inside sales, account management, or existing customer upsell/cross-sell.
- Sales experience in software, SaaS, cloud services, or technology-related products.
- Ability to advance sales opportunities without relying on face-to-face meetings, using phone, online meetings, and email.
- Proven ability to identify new departments, additional needs, and expansion opportunities within existing customer bases and close deals.
- Strong communication skills to build trust with multiple stakeholders, including technical users, operational staff, managers, and decision-makers.
- Ability to understand customer challenges and propose solutions based on business improvement, productivity enhancement, and business value, rather than just product features.
- Experience with sales activities, pipeline management, and forecast management using CRM tools like Salesforce.
- Ability to think independently, prioritize, and act proactively in a fast-paced environment.
