About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Permit Manager to join our team and take responsibility for the management and administration of the client's Electronic Permit to Work (E-Permit) system across a high-profile facilities management contract. Reporting to the Account QHSE & Compliance Manager, you will play a key role in driving compliance, contractor management, and safe systems of work across the estate. Working closely with Contract Managers, Supply Partners and client stakeholders, you will ensure that permits, contractor documentation, and risk management processes are effectively managed to maintain a safe, compliant and operationally efficient environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and administer the client's E-Permit system, ensuring all permits are reviewed, processed and approved in line with agreed procedures.
  • Review Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) to ensure work activities can be undertaken safely and in compliance with site requirements.
  • Assess contractor competency records, insurance certificates and supporting compliance documentation.
  • Monitor permit activity, contractor compliance and performance trends, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and statutory requirements.
  • Support the development and implementation of compliance strategies and best practice initiatives across the account.
  • Work closely with operational teams and contractors to ensure compliance expectations are understood and achieved.
  • Deliver contractor workshops, guidance and compliance briefings where required.
  • Produce compliance reports, management information and performance data for key stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate compliance records and documentation.
  • Promote a positive health, safety and compliance culture throughout the contract.
  • Support operational teams with advice, guidance and practical compliance expertise.

Requirements

  • NEBOSH Certificate or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety.
  • Experience within Facilities Management, Compliance, Health & Safety or a related discipline.
  • Knowledge of Permit to Work systems and contractor management processes.
  • Experience reviewing RAMS and contractor compliance documentation.
  • Strong understanding of compliance management and auditing practices.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong IT literacy and reporting capabilities.
  • IOSH or IIRSM membership.
  • Auditing or Quality Management qualifications.
  • Environmental Management qualification or IEMA membership.
  • Experience within Data Centre or critical environments.
  • Experience working across multi-site FM contracts.
