About the Role
As our new Analytics Engineer, you'll be at the centre of a greenfield Snowflake deployment, designing and building the pipelines, models and data products the whole business will run on. You'll shape how data flows from source systems through to Finance, Sales, Marketing and Operations reporting, working directly with stakeholders to understand what they need and translating that into clean, reliable, well-documented dbt models.
Responsibilities
- Contributing to the Snowflake data platform deployment, building out infrastructure from the ground up
- Migrating legacy data infrastructure into Snowflake across multiple business domains
- Building and maintaining dbt models across bronze, silver, gold and platinum layers, writing clean, tested and well-documented SQL
- Building and maintaining data ingestion into Snowflake via Fivetran and Snowpark-based pipelines
- Turning raw source data into trusted, analytics-ready data products the business can rely on
- Working directly with Finance, CRM and operational teams to gather and refine data requirements
- Translating business problems and ambiguous requirements into clear, scalable data solutions
- Monitoring and maintaining data pipeline health, troubleshooting issues and ensuring reliability
- Contributing to emerging AI data initiatives as the platform matures
- Staying close to evolving best practice in the modern data stack (Snowflake, dbt, Fivetran) and bringing new ideas back to the team
Requirements
- 3–5 years in an Analytics Engineering or similar data engineering role
- Background in consulting, professional services, startup or scaleup environments, comfortable moving fast across multiple business domains
- Strong SQL and dbt experience, having built and maintained production data models
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake
- Experience with Fivetran or similar ingestion tooling
- Python proficiency, comfortable building scripts and pipelines including Snowpark-based workloads
- Comfortable with CI/CD fundamentals, including version control, pull request workflows and automated deployment
- Familiarity with data pipeline monitoring and troubleshooting
- Self-directed, able to take a brief and drive it to completion without handholding
- Experience with data visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau or similar), exposure to AI/ML data initiatives, or experience in property, retirement living or similar complex operational environments will be highly regarded
