About the Role

XDOF is seeking a Technical Sourcer to build the talent pipeline for its next stage of growth. This role involves sourcing for challenging technical positions, including robotics, data infrastructure, and product engineering, in a competitive market. You will collaborate closely with founders and hiring managers, taking ownership of the sourcing strategy and execution.

Responsibilities

• Build and execute sourcing strategies for technical roles in robotics, infrastructure, and product engineering, including niche and hard-to-fill positions.
• Proactively identify, engage, and build relationships with passive candidates using channels like LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, niche robotics/ML communities, top journals/conferences, and referrals.
• Partner with hiring managers and founders to define precise sourcing criteria and craft compelling outreach.
• Write and refine outreach messaging to attract senior, in-demand engineers.
• Manage and optimize the candidate pipeline by tracking metrics, experimenting with new channels, and identifying effective strategies.
• Maintain an organized candidate pipeline and ensure a high-quality candidate experience.
• Contribute to the development of sourcing processes, tools, and market maps as the team scales.

Requirements

• 2+ years of technical sourcing or recruiting experience, preferably in a startup or high-growth environment.
• Experience sourcing for robotics, ML, or data infrastructure roles is a strong plus.
• Proven ability to engage and close passive, senior technical candidates in competitive markets.
• Genuine curiosity about technical work, with the ability to learn enough about robotics, ML, and infrastructure to speak credibly with engineers.
• Excellent written communication skills, capable of crafting outreach that resonates with busy engineers.
• High ownership and self-direction, with the ability to build processes from scratch.
• Strong organizational skills for managing multiple concurrent searches, candidate pipelines, and data.
• Bonus: Experience sourcing in the Bay Area robotics/hardware ecosystem or a relevant network.
