About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience working on real-world transport and aviation projects while learning from experienced engineers, planners and modellers in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Build technical skills and industry knowledge while working alongside experienced transport planners, modellers and engineers.
  • Assist with gathering, organising and analysing transport and engineering data using established tools and procedures.
  • Support the delivery of transport planning, modelling and engineering tasks, including technical calculations, analysis and project documentation.
  • Learn how industry standards and guidelines are applied throughout the planning and design process.
  • Contribute to developing innovative solutions to real-world transport and mobility challenges.
  • Gain exposure to transport modelling, traffic analysis and planning for the movement of people across a range of transport modes.
  • Learn how Safe System principles are applied to improve safety outcomes for all road users.
  • Participate in project meetings, site visits and multidisciplinary collaboration while building practical experience across a variety of transport and aviation projects.

Requirements

  • Adaptability.
  • A commitment to professionalism and integrity.
  • Must be in your penultimate year of a Bachelor’s or Postgraduate degree in Data Science, Transport Planning, Mathematics, Civil Engineering or any related discipline.
  • Must be interested in transport planning and modelling.
  • Able to work full time hours from mid November 2026 – mid February 2027.
  • Must have full working rights to work in Australia or New Zealand before applying.
  • Accepts candidates with student and graduate visas.
