About the Role
The Sustaining Engineer is a hands-on role responsible for identifying root causes and resolving critical production issues. This cross-functional position requires acting as a subject matter expert for specific modules and services, debugging enterprise Java applications, and collaborating with customer engagement and development teams.
Responsibilities
- Prioritize tasks and document the nature of reported problems.
- Triage and remediate high-priority issues and bugs.
- Analyze issues to identify root causes and propose code fixes.
- Proactively manage multiple high-priority threads.
- Develop a broad understanding of the company's technical architecture.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Java.
- Experience with SQL.
- Ability to analyze root causes by reviewing log files.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Passion for developing subject matter expertise.
- Interest in learning new technologies.
