About the Role
The Source Inspector (SI) performs inspection operations on in-process or completed hardware, including dimensional and visual inspection. This role may involve reviewing all associated product paperwork and verifying First Article Inspections (FAIs) to AS9102 standards for accuracy and completeness. The SI must be proficient with hand tools, gaging techniques, blueprint interpretation, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Source inspections will be conducted at end customer supplier locations, requiring travel.
Responsibilities
- Perform inspection operations of in-process or completed hardware, including dimensional and visual inspection.
- Review all paperwork relating to the product.
- Verify First Article Inspections (FAIs) to AS9102 for accuracy and completeness.
- Perform final inspection and receiving inspection, including dimensional, visual inspection, surface finish, and assembly inspection.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Familiarity with hand tools and gaging techniques.
- Fluent in blueprint interpretation and GD&T.
- Experience with hand measurement tools.
- Knowledge of CMM Inspection process (CMM Programming knowledge is not required).
- Knowledge and experience in GD&T (ASME Y14.5).
- Knowledge and experience with blueprint interpretation.
- MS Outlook and EXCEL experience.
- Valid driver's license and auto insurance required.
- Strong verbal, written, and communication skills.
- Fluent English – reading and writing is required.
- Professionalism, integrity, and exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong independent decision-making skills; excellent analytical skills and professional judgment.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of basic computer skills, including basic Excel skills - must pass Excel test.

- Pass pre-hire background check including DMV and credit screening.
- Pass Pre-hire Drug Screening.
- Local or U.S. Citizenship required.
