About the Role

Marc Jacobs International seeks a Merchandising Coordinator to support the execution of departmental strategies and business objectives for Leather Goods. This role collaborates cross-functionally to execute seasonal assortments from concept through launch, requiring a highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive individual passionate about product and consumer trends.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of seasonal assortments from concept through market launch.
  • Maintain assortment tools, line plans, product information, and seasonal merchandising documents.
  • Ensure data accuracy across merchandising systems including PLM, JOOR, and D365.
  • Assist in developing seasonal product strategies by category, silhouette, fabrication, color, pricing, and assortment architecture.
  • Coordinate product samples and maintain sample accuracy throughout development, ensuring timely handoff and communication with cross-functional partners.
  • Prepare merchandising materials for milestone meetings, line reviews, assortment presentations, and leadership reviews.
  • Track seasonal product lifecycle milestones and proactively communicate updates across cross-functional teams.
  • Support go-to-market activities, including product setup, launch readiness, and seasonal storytelling.
  • Conduct competitive market research, including pricing, product assortment, fashion trends, promotional activity, and consumer insights, and provide recommendations to support merchandising decisions.
  • Analyze seasonal business performance through hindsight reporting to identify opportunities and inform future assortments.
  • Support ad hoc reporting, product analysis, and merchandising initiatives as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Fashion Merchandising, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of merchandising, buying, planning, or product management experience, preferably within fashion, accessories, or consumer goods.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales, inventory, and assortment performance.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive, solution-focused approach.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across functions.
  • Ability to take initiative, actively listen, and incorporate feedback.
  • Passion for fashion, consumer trends, and product merchandising.

Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with PLM, JOOR, D365, or similar merchandising systems is preferred.
  • Experience working within seasonal merchandising calendars and product development timelines.
  • Understanding of assortment planning, pricing architecture, and retail performance metrics.
  • Ability to balance analytical thinking with a strong product and consumer perspective.
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative, deadline-driven environment.
