About the Role

AECOM's acoustics specialists advise clients on environmental and occupational acoustics, transport infrastructure noise, vibration, industrial noise control, and building acoustic design. This role is part of a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team delivering innovative solutions across a diverse range of projects.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with site visits to measure and observe acoustic conditions.
  • Perform acoustic predictions, calculations, and 3D modelling under guidance.
  • Contribute to design recommendations and support research activities.
  • Participate in client and design team meetings to share insights and learn from the team.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to support the delivery of integrated solutions.

Requirements

  • Must be in your penultimate year of a Bachelor's or Postgraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering or any related discipline.
  • Able to work full time hours from mid November 2026 – mid February 2027.
  • Possess a driver’s licence.
  • Must have full working rights to work in Australia or New Zealand.
  • Accept candidates with student and graduate visas.
  • Submit application with resume, cover letter, and academic transcripts as one document.
  • Attend a face-to-face interview.
  • All newly hired employees are required to attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding.
