About the Role

Reporting to the City Arborist, this role delivers arboriculture services to support the maintenance, safety, and enhancement of public tree assets. The position focuses on providing high-quality services within a supportive team environment that prioritizes safety, teamwork, and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Undertake tree inspections and assess customer requests
• Manage tree-related data and systems in One Council (Tech One)
• Conduct tree risk assessments and evaluate trees for maintenance or removal
• Provide technical advice and investigate tree-related issues and claims
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, standards, and Council policies
• Deliver high-quality customer service to community and internal/external stakeholders

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in arboriculture and urban forestry management
• Experience in tree inspections, risk assessment, and maintenance
• Experience in customer request management and insurance investigations
• Knowledge of Australian Standards for amenity tree pruning
• AQF5 Diploma of Arboriculture
• Current TRAQ accreditation
• Class C Driver’s Licence
• Construction Induction (White Card)
• Must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or a permanent resident
