About the Role

This Summer Internship Program offers a 12-week paid internship from mid-November to mid-February, providing real project experience, exposure to iconic projects, and opportunities to connect with senior leaders. Interns will work alongside technical experts and gain experience in a global business, with potential pathways to graduate employment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning, design, and delivery of civil infrastructure to support the wider AECOM business.
  • Support design management activities such as quality review planning and comment responses.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver client-focused solutions.
  • Support on-site inspections.

Requirements

  • Interns should be curious and excited to apply their studies in a professional environment.
  • Must possess strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Must have a positive and proactive attitude, adaptability, and a commitment to professionalism and integrity.
  • Must be in your penultimate year of a Bachelor's or Postgraduate degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Must be able to work full-time hours from mid-November 2026 – mid-February 2027.
  • Must have full working rights to work in Australia or New Zealand.
  • Accepts candidates with student and graduate visas.

  • Must attend a face-to-face interview.
  • Must attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location as a condition of employment.
