About the Role
This Summer Internship Program offers a 12-week paid internship from mid-November to mid-February, providing real project experience, exposure to iconic projects, and opportunities to connect with senior leaders. Interns will work alongside technical experts and gain experience in a global business, with potential pathways to graduate employment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning, design, and delivery of civil infrastructure to support the wider AECOM business.
- Support design management activities such as quality review planning and comment responses.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver client-focused solutions.
- Support on-site inspections.
Requirements
- Interns should be curious and excited to apply their studies in a professional environment.
- Must possess strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Must have a positive and proactive attitude, adaptability, and a commitment to professionalism and integrity.
- Must be in your penultimate year of a Bachelor's or Postgraduate degree in Civil Engineering.
- Must be able to work full-time hours from mid-November 2026 – mid-February 2027.
- Must have full working rights to work in Australia or New Zealand.
- Accepts candidates with student and graduate visas.

- Must attend a face-to-face interview.
- Must attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location as a condition of employment.
