About the Role
The Desk Clerk ensures the safety and security of the building for all tenants through extensive interaction with staff, tenants, vendors, law enforcement, and visitors in compliance with Property Management policies.
Responsibilities
- Sign-in all visitors entering and leaving the building
- Monitor exits via surveillance footage and foot patrols
- Update the daily log in detail
- Report House Rules violations to the Property Manager
- Call 911 or non-emergency police per protocol
- Report building emergencies to management
- Write and route incident reports
- Respond to building emergencies in the absence of management
- Maintain orderliness of the front entrance, lobby, and adjoining areas
- Contribute to a safe and pleasant work environment
- Follow all organizational policies and safe work practices
Requirements
- Ability to work with people of diverse social, economic, and ethnic backgrounds
- Sensitivity to issues facing family, homeless, disabled, and elderly populations
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work Saturday and Sunday, 4:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.
