About the Role

Docs & Dogs Family Medicine is seeking a Family Physician to provide Locum coverage for specific dates in August and September 2026. This role involves delivering comprehensive primary health care services in a supportive and collaborative outpatient clinic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Delivery of comprehensive primary health care services to patients of all ages and stages of health or illness.
  • Work with other providers in the clinic to provide cross coverage and same-day access.
  • Utilize an electronic medical record (EMR) and record all relevant patient details in a provincially approved EMR accessible to all collaborating team members.

Requirements

  • Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS).
  • Eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC).
  • Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA).

Salary/Compensations

  • Guaranteed daily minimum income of $1,200 for family physicians ($600 or half-day).
  • Additional shadow billings if above amount is exceeded.

  • Travel expenses (including air fare up to $1,500).
  • Travel time up to 10 hours per week.
