About the Role

Nova Scotia Health is seeking a Family Physician to provide Locum coverage at the Northside General Collaborative Practice from August 17th, 2026, to September 14th, 2026. This role involves delivering comprehensive primary health care services within a team-based approach.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of comprehensive primary health care services to patients of all ages and stages of health or illness.
• Work with other providers in the clinic to provide cross coverage and same-day access.
• Utilize an electronic medical record (EMR) and record all relevant patient details in a provincially approved EMR accessible to all collaborating team members.
• Opportunity to take on hospital inpatient work (low acuity).

Requirements

• Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS).
• Eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC).
• Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA).

Salary/Compensations

• Guaranteed daily minimum income of $1,200 for family physicians ($600 or half-day).
• Additional shadow billings if above amount is exceeded.
