About the Role

Support the continuing evolution of award-winning home designs for the NEX Building Group brands, including McDonald Jones Homes, as part of the head office Product Development team.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately model new house designs in ArchiCAD.
  • Produce detailed documentation for internal departments.
  • Employ critical analysis to improve the quality of design and documentation.
  • Liaise with designers for effective and efficient product development.
  • Maintain the existing library of ArchiCAD modules and master plans across the Group.
  • Maintain knowledge of relevant building codes for compliance with Australian Standards and the National Construction Code (NCC) of Australia.

Requirements

  • Minimum educational qualification in Diploma of Building Design or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes and downstream impacts of design modifications.
  • Minimum 2 years’ Architectural Drafting experience within the residential home design sector.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Effective time management skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Previous ArchiCAD experience preferred but not essential.
  • Share a passion for our purpose and be aligned to our core values.
  • Satisfactory employment screening.
  • May involve completion of a National Police Check.
  • May involve completion of a pre-employment medical.
