About the Role

The Security Operations Analyst is a member of the Security Operations team, responsible for maintaining strong oversight of the 24x7 Security Operations Centre, managing related operational security services, reviewing the security impact of infrastructure changes, and monitoring associated toolsets.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operational delivery of services provided by a third-party 24x7 Security Operations Centre, including DDoS protection, Web Application Firewall, Intrusion Prevention & Detection, File Integrity Monitoring, Vulnerability Scanning, Privileged Access Management, and SIEM.
  • Operate and maintain data leakage prevention toolsets, respond to data loss alerts, and investigate/manage data loss incidents.
  • Participate in a rotational 24/7 security incident response capability, acting as the single point of contact for security response actions and decisions.
  • Maintain security oversight of technical infrastructure delivered by third-party suppliers and manage operational risk remediation.
  • Provide operational support for the security certificate provisioning platform, including alerting stakeholders, reporting, certificate renewal/revocation, and updating documentation.
  • Manage the governance of firewall rule bases and associated change management processes.
  • Provide security input and maintain relationships with the Service Management function for change, problem, and incident management.
  • Oversee the management of web proxy policy configuration provided by third-party providers.
  • Monitor operational security communication channels and respond to business queries.
  • Monitor and respond to emerging threat patterns and vulnerabilities, escalating unknown threats.
  • Report metrics on technical information security controls, highlight risk areas, and develop/manage remediation plans.

Requirements

  • Must be capable of acting as the single point of contact for all security related response actions and decisions.
  • Must manage any operational risk remediation to conclusion.
