About the Role

Our team is accountable for security within the mobile channel, providing a suite of mobile security components. Our mission is to build a scalable, adaptable, and proactive approach to securing LBGʼs mobile apps, enabling mobile engineers across the bank to operate with confidence and agility. As a Product Owner, you will work alongside engineers and wider platform teams to turn the Product vision into a reality, owning the end-to-end developer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Senior Product Owner and Principal engineer in developing the Team OKRs and technical roadmap for our product and coordinate delivery.
  • Own, prioritise, refine and manage the Team Product backlog.
  • Work closely with the wider product team and stakeholders to align on product releases and cross team priorities.
  • Make critical decisions about what features to build, when to release, and how to allocate resources, balancing technical feasibility, business value, and user impact.
  • Bridge the gap between business and technology, facilitating communication, resolving conflicts, and ensuring alignment toward the product vision.
  • Be accountable for Product change governance (e.g., CMIA / SPFIA) and Business Readiness activities (e.g., training and comms, testing and readiness for implementation) for the technology components we build.
  • Protect the autonomy of the Team so they can focus on product development.

Requirements

  • Experience working with technical and cross-functional teams to deliver change.
  • Proven experience in strategic / complex transformations.

Skills

  • Product management and delivery.
  • Analytical, problem solving, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Ability to operate in a technical environment and challenge/understand complex technical requirements.
  • Proficient in Agile methods such as Scrum and Kanban.
  • Extensive use of JIRA and Confluence.
  • Experience of collaboratively working with scrum teams, engaging and shaping work with them to deliver on OKRs.
  • Experience of working in financial services or other highly regulated environments.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
