About the Role
Rocking Horse Ranch Resort, an award-winning family-friendly resort, is seeking a Food Expeditor to ensure the smooth flow of orders and efficient delivery of service. This role involves communicating with chefs and waitstaff, inspecting dish quality, and assisting with prep when necessary. This is a 50+ hours/week position and is overtime eligible.
Responsibilities
- Call out orders to the chefs and prepare dishes for delivery, ensuring each team member receives the correct orders
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen serving up to 500 guests per meal
- Monitor the quality of all dishes served; make final preparations on dishes
- Ensure all food, health, and safety regulations are rigorously maintained
- Assist food and beverage team where needed
Requirements
- Prior experience as food expeditor, or in a similar position
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Be a strong team player who works in conjunction and cohesively with others and under the direction of the Executive Chef
- Ability to work on your feet throughout the day
- Flexible working availability including weekends and holidays
