About the Role

Newscape Studios is seeking Freelance Cutout / Rigged Character Animators with expertise in Toon Boom Harmony to join their team. The role involves creating approximately 25 shots or 2.5 minutes of animation per week, maintaining an organized workflow, and contributing to a variety of animation styles for popular YouTube channels.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an organized and efficient workflow balancing quality and output needs.
• Deliver approximately 25 shots / 2.5 minutes of animation per week.
• Perform expert-level cutout/rigged character animation in Toon Boom Harmony.
• Navigate and demonstrate a clear understanding of Toon Boom node view and tools.
• Conduct light compositing work in Harmony, including lighting and some effects.
• Create assets, poses, and drawing subs with strong draftsmanship.
• Perform simple to moderate frame-by-frame / hand animation.

Requirements

• Must have substantial knowledge of animation fundamentals.
• Must have substantial knowledge of using Toon Boom Harmony and its node systems.
• Must have strong draftsmanship.
• Must be able to adapt to a variety of styles.
• Must be able to work as part of a team.
• Must possess strong literacy with written, verbal, and storyboard notes.
• Must communicate effectively.
• Must have great listening skills.
• Must have great time management skills.
• Must be comfortable meeting deadlines and daily quotas.
• Must have strong attention to detail and consistency.
• Demo Reel/Portfolio is required for consideration.
• Artists with LLCs are preferred but not required.
