About the Role
The US Oncology Network is seeking a Patient Services Coordinator to support the TCRS North clinic at Texas Colon and Rectal Specialists in Austin, Texas. This role involves greeting patients, managing appointments, handling calls, and providing administrative support in a collaborative and supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors professionally and courteously.
- Register and schedule patient appointments efficiently.
- Answer, screen, and direct incoming calls, relaying messages accurately.
- Collect, proof, and file patient forms, updating demographics and insurance information.
- Collect co-pays and balances, providing receipts.
- Check patients out after examinations and schedule follow-up appointments.
- Record cancellations and missed appointments, notifying appropriate staff.
- Provide general administrative support, including filing and maintaining the lobby area.
- Adhere to confidentiality, state, federal, and HIPPA laws and guidelines.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) required.
- Must successfully complete required e-learning courses within 90 days of occupying the position.
- At least eighteen (18) months of front medical office receptionist experience with insurance forms and scheduling software required for Level 2.
- At least 5 years of front medical office receptionist experience with insurance forms and scheduling software required for Level Sr.
- Regularly required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
- Occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
- Requires vision and hearing corrected to normal ranges.
