About the Role
Flexport's Global Operations team is responsible for end-to-end supply chain management, focusing on customer satisfaction, partner management, and driving innovation through process automation. This role is crucial for managing global shipments, ensuring a first-class customer experience, and maintaining quality and on-time performance.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the highest standard of Flexport quality: shipments move on-time and exceptions are handled appropriately.
- Ensure work satisfies internal KPIs and SLAs that demonstrate quality delivery.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOP).
- Own the client experience; solving client issues quickly and ensuring smooth operations at origin and destination, escalating issues as needed.
- Seamlessly coordinate day-to-day logistics operations with internal and external partners.
- Execute the end-to-end movement of freight shipments within a regional network (both imports and exports), including intermodal movements.
- Assist the shipments managed by partners as we drive partner autonomy.
- Quote and invoice client shipments with responsibility to their P&L.
- Participate in QBR and MBR presentation prep as well as hold client operational calls when deemed necessary.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, supply chain, ocean carrier operations, or consulting.
- Ocean freight knowledge is a plus.
- Able to adapt to new technology.
- Can thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective time management - be able to properly prioritize and manage a large volume of tasks.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to effectively seek and receive feedback.
- Effective communication both verbally and in writing in client facing interactions.
- Teamwork and relationship-building.
- Orientation towards working smarter and adopting best practices and standardization.
- Problem-solving capabilities.
- Fluent in English.
