About the Role
As a Global Operations Specialist, you will execute the shipment lifecycle for Ocean & Air shipments, ensuring data integrity and proactively minimizing delays. Responsibilities
- Execute the movement of ocean and air freight shipments from booking at origin to final delivery at destination.
- Maintain communications with transportation and warehousing partners to facilitate shipment progress.
- Work and communicate cross-functionally within Flexport.
- Ensure shipments move on time and exceptions are handled appropriately.
- Use metrics to spot opportunities for improvement and deliver great performance.
- Own the data quality of client information by validating booked shipments, tracking client shipment status, and validating shipment schedules.
- Consistently follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure work satisfies internal Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service-Level Agreements (SLAs) in line with productivity goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor's/Associate's degree OR 1+ year of relevant experience preferred.
- Team-centric mindset, focused on team outcomes and client expectations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail in a high-energy, fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Google Suite/Microsoft Suite (Sheets/Excel).
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
- A "compliance first" attitude for operating in a heavily regulated industry.
