About the Role
Flexport is seeking a Staff Product Manager to define and drive strategy across a product domain. This role involves owning the vision for how multiple product surfaces work together to serve clients and operators in global logistics, with a high degree of autonomy. The products shaped will be used daily by logistics managers, supply chain leaders, freight operators, and internal teams. This role requires deep product experience, strong analytical instincts, and the ability to operate at both strategic and execution levels in a complex, data-rich environment.
Responsibilities
- Define and drive product strategy for a domain spanning multiple teams, user types, or workflow stages.
- Own the end-to-end roadmap for your domain, identifying high-leverage problems, sequencing investment, and making trade-off recommendations.
- Partner with Engineering, Design, Sales, Operations, and other product teams to align priorities and ship integrated experiences.
- Use data to set direction by building metrics frameworks that connect product usage to business outcomes.
- Break down ambiguous, cross-cutting problems into concrete product plans for multiple teams.
- Represent your domain in leadership forums, influencing resource allocation and strategic direction.
- Mentor PMs on the team, improving processes for specs, prioritization, trade-offs, and shipping.
Requirements
- 8+ years of product management experience.
- Demonstrated ability to own a product domain and drive outcomes across multiple teams.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills; SQL proficiency required.
- Track record of shipping products in data-dense, complex domains with multi-step user workflows.
- Experience aligning cross-functional teams around a shared roadmap with competing priorities.
- Proven ability to operate at both strategy and execution levels within the same week.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including framing trade-offs and presenting to leadership.
- Experience mentoring or leading other PMs, formally or informally.
- Experience with B2B workflow software, supply chain platforms, or logistics technology is a plus.
