About the Role

Roger is an AI platform designed to reduce administrative burdens for home health clinicians, enabling them to dedicate more time to patient care. We leverage LLM systems to extract structure from unstructured data, validate outputs, and continuously improve accuracy for clinical documentation and operational tasks.

Responsibilities

• Train and fine-tune open source models using proprietary datasets to enhance accuracy.
• Build evaluation datasets and pipelines for rigorous model accuracy measurement and continuous improvement.
• Design metrics, harnesses, and feedback loops to translate clinical outcomes into measurable model improvements.
• Develop scalable, cost-efficient inference infrastructure with robust monitoring and observability.
• Enhance agentic infrastructure and collaborate on interfaces to translate model capabilities into effective clinician experiences.
• Stay current with the latest AI research, model capabilities, and open source frameworks, implementing them into production.
• Prototype solutions rapidly and transition them into scalable, secure, and reliable production systems.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with significant AI/ML depth.
• Experience training, fine-tuning, or evaluating LLMs and open source models.
• Proven track record of shipping AI software to users, with the ability to discuss challenges and solutions.
• Strong understanding of evals, observability, and feedback loops for user-driven improvements.
• Experience building agentic systems, including tool use, generator/critic loops, planners, and executors.
• Proficiency in building fast, reliable, and cost-efficient infrastructure at scale.
• Experience in a high-growth startup environment, shipping features.
• Product mindset, comfort across the full technology stack, and ability to navigate ambiguity.
• High standards for reliability and accuracy in critical applications.
