About the Role
The New Stream Media team at dentsu leads strategy, activation, and optimization for a large Retail Media client. This role will serve as the primary strategic partner across a client portfolio, responsible for developing growth strategies, identifying opportunities, solving business challenges, and strengthening client and partner relationships. The role plays a critical part in supporting the planning, execution, and ongoing management of retail media campaigns and supplier partnerships, ensuring work is delivered accurately, on time, and with high quality. This role is ideal for someone who can create strong governance and communication practices, manage multiple priorities, and proactively troubleshoot issues.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the strategic account lead across assigned accounts, translating client priorities and business challenges into account strategies and growth opportunities
- Own account and campaign workstreams, ensuring timelines, deliverables, documentation, stakeholder follow-ups, and key milestones are managed effectively
- Build strong relationships and coordinate effectively across suppliers, retailers, vendors, Sales, Planning, Analytics, Activation, and Account Management teams to ensure seamless communication and execution
- Lead day-to-day campaign execution across setup, QA, launch readiness, pacing, and reporting in partnership with internal teams and external partners
- Monitor campaign performance, identify risks or opportunities, and support development of performance recaps and optimization recommendations
- Troubleshoot client, supplier, and campaign-related issues, escalating when needed and driving timely resolution across stakeholders
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives, training materials, documentation, and best practice development
- Provide guidance to junior team members and help reinforce consistent ways of working across assigned accounts
- Support ad hoc strategic and operational initiatives in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Analytics, or a related field preferred
- 4+ years of digital performance marketing experience in eCommerce, retail media, search, programmatic, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience leading retail media or eCommerce programs preferred
- Experience working with retail media platforms, DSPs, search platforms, or related digital advertising technologies preferred
- Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, competing deadlines, and evolving business needs
- Strong business acumen and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify opportunities, resolve issues, and drive solutions to completion
- Strong written, verbal, presentation, and storytelling skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across stakeholders and teams
- Experience developing campaign recaps, performance reports, and optimization recommendations
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret performance data and translate insights into actionable business recommendations
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with formulas, pivot tables, and large datasets preferred
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment
- Enthusiasm for retail media, eCommerce, and the evolving digital advertising landscape
