About the Role
Cadence hires and develops leaders and innovators to impact the world of technology. This role provides pre-sales and/or post-sales technical customer support for Electronic Design Automation (EDA) and semiconductor intellectual property (IP), including implementation, training, and maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Utilize engineering background to provide pre-sales and/or post-sales technical customer support.
- Provide implementation, training, and maintenance support for EDA and semiconductor IP.
- Drive technical evaluations and benchmarks to success by participating in customer discussions.
- Gather requirements and strategies to win.
- Provide technical support in Backend Digital Design Implementation and Signoff, including Place and Route, Design Closure, and timing/power signoff.
- Guide customers on utilizing Cadence technologies to achieve design goals and meet project schedules.
- Work closely with R&D to enhance tools and methodologies.
- Conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations.
- Drive adoption and proliferation of Cadence tools and technologies.
- Capture best practices and lessons learned to improve efficiency and success rates.
Requirements
- Minimum six (6) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or related application engineering occupation.
- Utilize industry-standard Place and Route tools, such as Cadence Innovus, and STA tools for tapeout designs.
- Experience with Synthesis, floor planning and signoff closure like crosstalk, Electro Migration, and Physical Verification checks.
- Experience with Clock Tree building for better skew and performance.
- Work on functional Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and Timing ECOs for tapeout designs.
- Utilize TCL scripting language for automating regular workflow.
- Experience with design and implementation of design with Machine Learning tools like Cerebrus.
- Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States.
