About the Role

ARA Diagnostic Imaging, a practice of Radiology Partners, is seeking to transform radiology by investing in its people and delivering exceptional outpatient imaging. Join a team that offers meaningful, sustainable careers with a strong local presence and the support of a national organization.

Responsibilities

• Perform and maintain monthly quality control on ultrasound systems.
• Perform ultrasound procedures as prescribed by a physician.
• Operate equipment and process images using established techniques.
• Ensure technical quality of images and manage workload.
• Assist radiologists with image-guided diagnostic and invasive procedures.
• Prepare patients for ultrasound procedures, including escorting, providing instructions, and positioning.
• Select transducers and adjust equipment based on procedure specifications.
• Adhere to safety procedures and universal precautions.
• Assess patient's previous exams and load/digitize outside studies if applicable.
• Review and ensure accuracy of referral forms in the system.
• Communicate referral information accurately to the radiologist.
• Administer medication as prescribed by a physician for certain procedures.

Requirements

• Knowledge of ultrasound technology principles and procedures.
• Experience conducting routine and specialized radiologic tests.
• Familiarity with physician and department work methods and facility policies.
• Analytical skills for conducting tests, reviewing results, verifying patient information, and monitoring supplies.
• Current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) recognized by the American Heart Association.
• Current registry by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or registry-eligible with attainment within one year of employment.
