About the Role
Loop is seeking ambitious individuals eager to make an impact at a startup, even if their specific career path isn't yet defined. This role offers the opportunity to solve diverse problems, take on multiple responsibilities, and learn rapidly in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the Chief of Staff to execute key business operations initiatives.
- Prepare materials for investor relations and participate in investor pitching.
- Build financial models to support company growth.
- Bridge the gap between business and product by building prototypes.
- Automate workflows and use SQL to extract insights from data.
- Review legal documents and conduct due diligence.
- Negotiate commercial terms with partners and vendors.
- Ensure teams stay on track and focused on priorities, providing support where needed.
- Maintain smooth office operations in the downtown Toronto location.
- Coordinate marketing campaigns or social content as needed.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience in operations, finance, consulting, or a high-growth startup environment.
- Proficiency with SQL and advanced financial modelling (Excel/Google Sheets).
- Ability to digest legal documents and comfort with commercial negotiations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proactive doer with a willingness to wear multiple hats and embrace variety.
- Comfort with tools like Notion, Slack, and G Suite.
- Interest in building prototypes or testing new internal tools.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, in-person startup environment in Toronto.
