About the Role
EXP is seeking a Structural Engineer to join the infrastructure group in the Northeast market. This role involves designing and analyzing structures, conducting inspections, and supporting construction phases for complex infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities
- Structural design for all project types
- Schematic/geometric layout design of new structures
- Perform analysis and design calculations according to applicable design codes using computer programs
- Conduct load rating analysis
- Prepare plan drawings, details, construction specifications, and design calculations
- Conduct on-site inspection, analysis, and condition assessment of existing structures
- Provide construction phase engineering support, including reviews of shop drawings and requests for information
- Assist project managers with scoping and budgeting for structural work
- Ensure quality assurance of deliverables
Requirements
- BS in Civil/Structural Engineering and EIT certification required
- New York PE preferred
- Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible relevant experience
- Knowledge of AASHTO and bridge analysis, design, and detailing preferred
- Proficient with MicroStation and AutoCAD preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
