About the Role

Equipment Tech I will assist Equipment Tech II in manually installing and/or repairing heavy automobile lift equipment and other associated equipment. Employee is exposed to elements as is present in the environment, as most sites are not equipped with central heat or air conditioner.

Responsibilities

  • Installing new and used automobile lift equipment and making any associated repairs
  • Installing and repairing lubrication dispensing equipment, which includes grease, oil, automatic transmission fluid and hydraulic oil tanks, pumps, reels, meters, piping and fluid inventory management systems
  • Installing and repairing compressed air systems, which include compressors, dryers and plumbing systems
  • Driving a company-owned service vehicle with toolboxes
  • Repairing most equipment located in an auto repair facility
  • Maintaining a satisfactory attendance record and appearance
  • Maintaining a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, work stations and shipping supply areas neat in the warehouse
  • Complying with all OSHA and company safety procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Use of tools, such as, wrenches, hammers, socket sets, screwdrivers, hammer drills, hydraulic hose press, pliers, vice grips, pipe wrenches, and pipe threaders
  • Operating a forklift when required
  • Performing other duties and assignments as directed by management

Requirements

  • Continually walking, lifting, carrying, grasping, reaching, stooping and crouching
  • Frequently climbing and descending stairs and ladders
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 60 lbs. weight continuously
  • Ability to read and write in English
  • Provide hand tools (company will provide large power tools)
  • Ability to drive automatic and manual transmission to drive company vehicles
  • Must successfully complete background and criminal history check
  • Must pass a physical, human performance evaluation test and a drug test
  • Must maintain regular and prompt attendance
  • Attitude that supports the Company’s goals and values
