About the Role

We are seeking a highly strategic and hands-on Principal – Experiential Design to own the end-to-end creative vision for large-scale conferences, trade shows, and internal events. This role is responsible for translating business goals and brand narratives into immersive, high-impact experiences across scenic environments, activations, and integrated digital and physical collateral. This individual will bridge concept and execution by designing bold 3D environments and shaping cohesive content ecosystems that bring our value proposition to life across every touchpoint.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the creative vision for events by developing compelling, cohesive experiences aligned to brand, messaging, and business objectives.
  • Translate strategic narratives and value propositions into immersive spatial and content-driven experiences.
  • Define end-to-end experience frameworks, including environments, activations, and supporting collateral.
  • Concept and design large-scale scenic buildouts, booths, stages, and branded environments.
  • Develop 3D renderings and visualizations to communicate design intent and achieve stakeholder alignment.
  • Design pop-up activations and modular environments adaptable across event types and scales.
  • Ensure consistency and cohesion across physical, digital, and hybrid touchpoints.
  • Recommend and define comprehensive event content packages, including signage systems, digital displays, print collateral, and interactive touchpoints.
  • Ensure all creative outputs align with a unified narrative and attendee journey.
  • Partner with copywriters, designers, and motion/video teams to execute creative concepts.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to align on objectives and execution.
  • Collaborate with internal creative teams to guide concept development and production.
  • Liaise with external vendors, fabricators, and experiential partners to ensure quality execution.
  • Guide projects from concept through execution, maintaining design integrity.
  • Review and approve creative outputs, including builds, signage, and digital assets.
  • Operate within production constraints, timelines, and budgets.

Requirements

  • Strong expertise in experiential design and event environments (conferences, trade shows, and brand activations).
  • Advanced 3D design and rendering skills (e.g., SketchUp, Cinema 4D, Blender, or similar tools).
  • Proficiency in print and digital production, with knowledge of materials, fabrication, and display systems.
  • Ability to think holistically across spatial design, content, and storytelling.
  • Strong conceptual and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Ability to connect brand narratives to physical and digital experiences.
  • Experience developing integrated creative systems beyond standalone deliverables.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate creative vision.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with creative and non-creative stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders, vendors, and competing priorities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Fine Arts, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in an in-house brand or creative team and/or agency environment.
  • Portfolio demonstrating experiential design work, including scenic design, activations, and integrated campaigns.
