About the Role

The Learning Innovation Designer creates and delivers graduate-level course content, modeling leadership and collaboration within a digital learning team. This role focuses on instructional design for blended and online environments, media production, simulation design, and the integration of health science technologies to ensure academic integrity and excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to faculty and stakeholders regarding teaching and learning technology.
  • Collaborate with academic leadership to develop course outcomes, objectives, and curriculum.
  • Edit, write, and design instructional content in alignment with institutional learning models.
  • Manage course blueprints, scope and sequence, and media planner documents.
  • Build and maintain master courses to ensure consistency with learning outcomes.
  • Plan, design, and develop instructional media elements and coordinate production.
  • Build course components in the LMS and ensure quality assurance standards are met.
  • Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure timely delivery.
  • Oversee the quality of work performed by external vendors and contract designers.
  • Develop standard processes across the domain team.
  • Oversee special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of online course design or curriculum development experience in higher education.
  • Master's degree in instructional design, education, curriculum development, or teaching and learning.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience using a learning management system.
  • Fluency in eLearning content development tools.
  • Ability to provide work samples or a portfolio.
  • Periodic travel may be required.
