Responsibilities
- Own the role by handling real-world assignments as a producer, MMJ, meteorologist, or media sales executive.
- Create content for social media, streaming apps, and web stories to drive digital engagement.
- Collaborate with seasoned professionals to gain industry insights.
- Dedicate 25 hours per week for 10 weeks to master a specialty and build a professional portfolio.
- Tell impactful community stories or help local businesses grow through media strategies.
- Position yourself for full-time career opportunities within Gray Media's network.
Requirements
- Current enrollment as a college student (Junior or Senior status preferred).
- Pursuing a degree in Journalism, Communications, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
- Possess a 'doer' mindset with initiative and a willingness to work.
- Demonstrate digital savvy across various media platforms.
- Exhibit a strong work ethic with urgency, organization, and a 'can-do' attitude.
- Possess strong communication skills for storytelling, pitching, and explaining information.
- Commit to the full 10-week program and the 25-hour weekly schedule.
